Top: American Eagle, Jeans; Forever 21, Shoes: Converse, Bag: Thrift Store
Floral prints and denim.
My go-to combination for spring and summer...and fall...and probably winter as well.
(I tend to always shop for jeans and flowers!)

American Eagle is quite the popular brand in the US, especially among Midwestern high school girls.
Let me tell you this: The very first time I walked into an AE store, I thought it was ridiculous.
Coming from a German city to the Midwest, I had a little bit of a clothing-culture shock.
After while, though, I got used to the style around here, and found my own German-American fashion sense.

Things that I used to dislike and refuse to wear included flip flops, sweat suits, super short jeans shorts and glittery baby-doll tops. To me, that just did not look right.
After time, I discovered the comfy benefits of flip flops and sweats. With a tan, even the denim shorts look cute. No baby-doll tops for me yet.
But who knows, I'm adjusting more and more to the lifestyle here.
Americanized much?

Believe it or not, I'm about to walk to the store in flip flops and sweats :)

Greetings from the Americanized Midwest-Lotte
