My outfit for Saturday! I ended up going to a bar with some friends.

Now, I am not really a party type of person, and prefer quiet environments. Going out is definitely something I don't do every weekend. Therefore I am made for the small town life for that there exists no clubbing scene. All we have is bars, and those I find rather amusing.

Coming from a city, I am used to dressing up fancy and then go to a club. Most of the time, the party wouldn't start before midnight. (Here, the bar closes at 1am!)

Living in a "middle-of-nowhere" kind of environment, people don't really dress up....but rather down. I was quite shocked about some of the outfit choices. Not everyone revealed too much skin, but the majority of females did. The outfit I chose was probably not the typical bar-attire, but I was glad to be wearing a skirt with pockets that would hold my cell phone and keys! Yay for versatile clothing.

Here (talking about my small town), "going out" is completely different from clubbing in Germany. So I went in my coffee shop/librarian/nerdy outfit , thought nothing of it, and received compliments for my shoes!

This is what I love about the Midwest: Friendly people and their friendly compliments about my shoes :)

Mein Outfit von Samstag ist nicht gerade Disko tauglich, aber in der Kleinstadt mitten im Nirgendwo kratzt das niemanden. Deshalb bin ich ganz spontan mit Freunden in die Bar gegangen. Der Rock mit Taschen war dann auch noch ganz praktisch für Handy und Schlüssel!

Dafür, dass der Ort nur 13.000 Einwohner hat, gibt's es hier schon einen Haufen Bars. Wir waren in der "Hangout" Bar (mit Tanzfläche und Stange...jaja!).

Hier ist das Nachtleben um 1 Uhr morgens vorbei, man sieht denkwürdige Outfits (lässig im Trucker-Style, und die Mädels lassen gern mal zu viel raushängen). Ich war in Deutschland noch nie in einer Dorfbar, aber das dürfte dem ganzen ähnlich sein ;) Meine Schuhe kamen scheinbar ganz gut an. Die Leute im Midwest sind einfach super lieb, verteilen fleissig Schuh-Komplimente!

Ich mags, das Kleinstadt Leben mit den verrückten Amis, die am Wochenende gerne mal die Sau rauslassen!
