Even in a small town cookie-cutter neighborhood: Worn by that weird German chick posing in front of the garage door....
There exists only a very small amount of photos from when I was 10-16 years old, and that is because I ran away every time my dad tried to snap a picture of me. That changed once I came to the US for the very first time to spend my exchange year in the Midwest. All my girlfriends would constantly take pictures, I discovered Facebook and Myspace ( and the less tasteful bathroom mirror picture taking style). Once I started to experiment with photography a little more, I became comfortable about being in photos. Now I love it & take every opportunity to jump in a picture!
Photo shootings with my friends are so much fun. Random neighbors watching me setting up my little tripod on the from of my car (Motorhaube), trying to find the perfect angle and then managing to snap the perfect photo...not so much fun. I must admit that I still feel quite awkward in those moments.
But it is my own fault for wearing a bright pink shirt. It pretty much screams: Hello, look at me! Blame it on the color :) I will gladly pay the price of awkward-neighbor-staring, bright pink shirts are worth it!
I found this lovely bracelet at my favorite little vintage Boutique in town. It was love at first sight!
These heels look pretty freaky, and they're definitely perfect for my American lifestyle of not-walking-unless-to-car. Or else my feet will thank me later.
Greetings from the BRIGHT PINK Midwest,
Lotte
